Background tools
Planned around on-device segmentation. None of these are implemented yet.
Separating a subject from its background is the foundation for removal, replacement and portrait blur alike — one model, three products. KaiConvert’s plan is to run that model in your browser rather than on a server, which is why it has not shipped: local inference has to be reliable across ordinary devices before it is worth offering.
Nothing in this category processes an image today. If your subject is already on a clean background, the product image formatter will square and pad it for you right now.
