Sideways photos are almost always an orientation-metadata problem: the camera recorded the image one way and wrote a tag saying “display this rotated”. Some apps honour the tag, some ignore it, and the picture ends up on its side.
Rotating here fixes it permanently. The pixels themselves are turned, so the result looks correct everywhere — including in the apps that ignore orientation tags in the first place.
What you get
Quarter-turn rotation
90° left, 90° right and 180°, applied to the real pixels rather than to a display tag.
Dimensions follow automatically
A quarter turn swaps width and height, and the canvas resizes to match, so nothing is cropped off.
Lossless until you export
Rotation by multiples of 90° moves whole pixels around. No resampling, no softening.
Chain it with anything
Rotate, then crop or resize on the same image, with a single export at the end.
How it works
- 1
Load your photo
Drop it in. KaiConvert reads it with the browser’s decoder, which applies the file’s own orientation tag first.
- 2
Rotate
Click left, right or 180°. Each click is a separate operation in the history, so you can step back if you overshoot.
- 3
Export
Download the corrected image. The new orientation is baked into the pixels.
Why use KaiConvert
