Processed locally. Your image never leaves your device.
Keep going without re-uploading
Your image stays loaded in the editor. Pick the next action and carry on.
Most compressors give you a single button and a promise. That is fine until the result is either still too big or visibly mushy, and you have no way to steer it. Compression is a trade-off, and the only sensible interface is one that shows you both sides of it.
KaiConvert re-encodes your image at the quality you choose and reports the exact resulting size, the original size and the percentage saved. Switching format matters too: the same photo as WebP is often 25–35% smaller than as JPEG at a visually identical quality.
What you get
Real numbers, not promises
The size shown is measured from the actual encoded blob, so what you see is what you download.
Format matters as much as quality
Compare JPEG and WebP at the same quality. WebP usually wins on size; JPEG wins on universal compatibility.
Resize first for the biggest win
A 6000px photo displayed at 1200px is wasting 96% of its pixels. Resizing before compressing beats any quality slider.
Metadata goes with it
Re-encoding drops EXIF, GPS and camera data, so the output is smaller and quieter about where it came from.
How it works
- 1
Load your image
The original file size is recorded so the comparison is against the real thing, not an estimate.
- 2
Pick a format and quality
JPEG or WebP for photos, PNG when you need lossless or transparency. The slider runs from 1 to 100.
- 3
Check the saving
The panel shows original size, new size and percent saved. Adjust until you are happy.
- 4
Download
The encoded blob is handed straight to your browser. It was never sent anywhere to be compressed.
