Turn anime into a realistic image

Reinterpret an illustration as a photograph — the harder direction of style transfer.

AI provider not configured in this environment.

Cloud AI tools stay disabled until an AI provider is configured on the server. No image is uploaded and no result is generated.

This is the harder direction. Going from photo to illustration discards detail, which models do well. Going the other way has to invent skin texture, individual hair strands, fabric weave and physically plausible lighting that the drawing never contained.

Expect an interpretation rather than a conversion. Line-heavy or highly stylised sources give the model the least to work with and produce the least convincing results; softly shaded illustrations do better.

What you get

  • Photorealistic prompt applied

The base prompt asks for natural skin texture, realistic lighting and photographic focus. It is shown on the page.

  • Your own detail can be added

Steer towards a particular lighting or lens look with extra prompt words.

  • Disclosed cloud step

The provider is named before anything is sent.

  • Continues into the editor

    Crop and export without re-uploading.

How it works

  1. 1

    Load the illustration

Decoded and resized locally before anything leaves your device.

  2. 2

    Add detail if useful

    Optional extra prompt words.

  3. 3

    Run

Sent to the configured provider; the reinterpretation comes back.

Specifications

  • Beta. This tool is implemented and runs through the configured cloud AI provider. If no provider is configured on this deployment the page says so and processes nothing — it never falls back to a fabricated result. It stays out of search indexing until output quality is consistently good enough to be worth ranking.
  • Implemented via the AIProvider abstraction. Shares an engine with Photo to Anime.

Why use KaiConvert
